Shelley Eva Haden was nominated in the outstanding female performance category at the 2017 National Dance Awards, voted for by the Critics’ Circle.
Shelley graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2014 having become the first-ever student to achieve 100% on the solo choreography assessment – her ‘Silver Shelter’ is now part of the school’s repertoire.
Shelley has toured internationally, and her performance credits include Sam Amos (TrashDollys), Autin Dance Theatre, Corey Baker Dance, Creature Encounter, Jamaal Burkmar (Extended Play), Gary Clarke, Maxine Doyle (Punchdrunk), Nua Dance (Neus Gils Cortés), Rhiannon Faith Company (also as Rehearsal Director), Slung Low, Shobana Jeyasingh Dance, Southpaw Dance Company (Robby Graham), Mehdi Farajpour (ORIANTHEATRE Dance Company), Tamsin Fitzgerald (2Faced Dance Company), Keneish Dance, and Rosie Kay (Rosie Kay Dance Company), Rachel Lopez (Dog Kennel Hill Project).
Staatsoper Berlin 'Hippolyte et Aricie' directed by Aletta Collins, Soloist for Opera North’s ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ (Gary Clarke 2020), movement director for Birmingham Opera Company’s ‘Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk’ and actor mentor for ‘WAKE’ (Graham Vick, 2019 and 2018), dancer for the Royal Danish Opera and Scottish Opera’s ’Nixon in China’ (John Fulljames, 2019).
TV, film, and commercial credits include Birmingham Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, BBC Arts (Swan Lake Bath Ballet 2020), Channel4 (Bryonny Kimmings - Artist in residence), NowTV (Brave New World TV Series), FairFX (Advert), Print in Performance (Fashion), FUDGE/Alan Howard (Live show). Solo performances for Music Videos include ‘Everything’ by Gotts Street Park ft. Rosie Lowe and ‘The Great North Eastern’ by Supercaan among others.
